Conditions for immigration to Canada through the Atlantic for international students

In order to participate in the Atlantic Canada immigration program to immigrate to the Atlantic provinces, you must meet the following conditions:

Degree of education

To obtain a Canada visa through the Atlantic, you must have a degree of at least 2 years from one of the accredited educational centers above high school in the Atlantic area and study full-time. or have lived in the Atlantic region for at least 16 months during the 2 years prior to earning your degree.

Job offer

For a job offer, you must have a job offer from one of the employers in the Atlantic area. Also, the job offer must be for full-time work (at least 30 hours per week) and not seasonal or temporary.

This job is in one of the TEER levels 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 in the Canadian job classification system. For TEER level 0, 1, 2, 3, the duration of the job offer must be at least one year (one year after you become a permanent resident). TEER 4 job offer must be permanent and not expire.

Important: The job offer should not be from a company in which you or your spouse is a major shareholder.

Language

If you have a job offer at TEER level 0, 1, 2, 3, you must have an English or French language qualification at CLB 5 level.

If you have a TEER 4 job offer, you must have a CLB 4 English or French language qualification.

Each exam has its own scoring system that can be converted to CLB level. To convert the scores of different language degrees to CLB, the scores of each skill must be checked.

Financing immigration to Canada through the Atlantic

If you live and work in Canada, you do not need to provide proof of financial ability. But if you are outside of Canada, you must provide proof of financial means. This certificate must be obtained for all family members who are over 18 years of age, from any country where they have lived for more than 6 months.

Fourth step: Check the conditions of the case and the applicant’s records

In this step, all the documents of the Canadian visa applicant through Atlantic are checked to confirm whether the applicant is qualified or not. At first, a receipt is sent, which is called an Acknowledgment of Receipt. This receipt, which contains the case number, confirms that the investigation of the case has begun.

During the process of immigration to Canada via Atlantic Canada, you may be issued a fingerprint letter if needed, and you must do the fingerprinting. The Federal Immigration Service will also check your security and criminal records.

After reviewing these items and if approved, a letter will be sent to you, according to which you must perform some medical tests with doctors approved by the Immigration Department in your country or Canada and send the receipt to the Immigration Department.
