Immigration of French speakers to Canada

If you have a good level of French language skills or are a French speaker, you can apply for immigration and residence in Canada in several ways:

Federal Express Entry

Canada’s Express Entry system has three programs that include:

Federal Skilled Worker
Federal Skill Trade (Federal Technical and Professional Workforce)
Canadian experience

Each of these methods is based on a scoring system, and having a score in English or French is one of the main conditions for applying for these programs.

Provincial immigration programs for French speakers

Many Canadian provinces employ French-speaking specialists through their immigration programs. Most of these provinces directly invite their applicants to apply for the program through their Express Entry Pool, and for some other provinces, it is necessary to enter the lottery pool of applicants by sending an Expression of Interest (EOI).

For example, the province of Ontario recruits French-speaking skilled workers through one of the subgroups of its Express Entry program called the Ontario Francophone Specialist Program. The province of Nova Scotia also regularly invites French-speaking applicants directly from its Express Entry lottery pool to apply for the program.

Conditions for moving to Canada through other provinces, such as Saskatchewan, may provide additional points for those with French language skills.

Immigrate to Canada through Canadian Experience

The Canadian Experience (CEC) is one of the three main programs of the Express Entry system. If you have work experience in Canada, you can obtain Canadian residency through the Canadian Experience Program. This program is based on the scoring system and its maximum score is 1200. Applicants who have a higher score in each lottery round of this program will receive an invitation.

Canadian Experience Program Requirements

The request to immigrate to Canada from Iran is increasing year by year. It seems that every year the demand of Iranians to go to Canada is growing and Iranians are part of the successful strata of Canada.

How to immigrate to Canada

To immigrate to Canada and to know how to get Canadian residency, according to the new Canadian immigration rules, you need to do the following steps:

1. Choose the best immigration method according to your circumstances.

2. Prepare and translate the necessary documents related to the immigration program.

3. Enter the website of the Canadian Immigration Department and choose the immigration program you want and create an online account.

4. Answer the application questions and upload the required forms and documents.

Documents required to immigrate to Canada

The conditions of going to Canada in different Canadian immigration methods require different documents. A number of documents are general and common and must be submitted for each type of immigration procedure. These documents include: Identification documents such as:

  • Translation of marriage certificate (if available)
  • Translation of diplomas and academic transcripts
  • Employment letters Insurance records (if applicable) Certificate of no bad background

In fact, these documents must prove that you will return to your country after completing your studies in Canada. So, except for the general documents, your partial documents should help to show the certainty of your departure from Canada after graduation.

But in long-term visas, apart from general documents, you need other documents, of course, you don’t need to show that you intend to leave Canada. For example, in the Canadian entrepreneurship visa, the Canadian startup visa or the Canadian self-employed visa, you need a detailed business plan. This plan should show exactly what the business you intend to start is and what research you have done for it.
