Steps to the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Program – Express Entry Subcategory

1. Express entry profile creation

Provide the following documents mentioning both names: copies of joint bank accounts, copies of leases, and utility bills, etc.

Passport: A page showing your biographical information for you, your spouse or common-law partner, and accompanying dependent children.

Proof of legal status: visas and permits that provide proof of legal status in your country of residence if it is other than your country of citizenship (e.g. work permit)

Documents of children:

Birth certificate (which mentions the names of their parents).

If applicable, adoption documents issued by official national authorities showing legal and certified adoption of dependent children.

Proof of custody for children under 18 and proof that the children may be removed from the court’s jurisdiction.

A current or future degree in Canada, including a letter of confirmation from the educational institution(s) and a study permit or other authorization.

If your children’s other parents are not accompanying you to Canada, you must submit an IRCC Statutory Declaration from the unaccompanied parent/guardian for the minors.

Photo: Digital passport-type photos of yourself and any family members included in your application. Photos must meet Canadian passport photo specifications.

Pay slips or salary records submitted to the tax department or other government agencies for work experience related to the NOC job offer.

Verifiable third-party documents, such as tax documents, employment records, or social security records.

Bank statements with at least six months of transaction history showing salary deposits.

If your work experience is based on self-employment, you must provide official documents from independent third parties.

If your work experience is in Canada, T4 tax information sheets that reflect the time frame of the work experience are required (for example, work experience from 2019-2021 only requires documentation for those calendar years). Be sure to remove the social security number.

Adaptability: If you are claiming an adaptability score, you must provide the following (if applicable):

Work Experience: An official letter of reference from any New Brunswick employer, based on your total full-time related work experience gained during the five years prior to submitting a complete application to GNB, companion, pay slip and/or other. Wage certificate, as well as current and expired work permits.

Education: Provide proof that you have successfully completed post-secondary education at an accredited institution in New Brunswick. Include certificates, diplomas or academic degrees and transcripts.
